From humble beginnings in the early 1960s, the Cedars Resort, originally known as the Cedar Motel, has seen a lot of growth and expansion not only on the resort grounds, but also in the city of Sedona, AZ. In the late 1960s, the motel was expanded with the two-story addition of 10 luxury guest rooms, followed by another two-story addition with 12 luxury guest rooms in the 1980s to accommodate the ever-growing number of visitors to Sedona.
