Vultee Arch Trail is a 3.6 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Sedona, Arizona that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
It’s about a 25 minute drive on the dirt road. You’ll pass the Devils Bridge parking lot and just continue till Dry Creek Road ends. Small little lot. Then the hike starts. You’ll have an easy hike for a bit as you just wind through the canyon. Lots of pine trees and smells so good. You’ll go back and forth over the canyon creek. Usually dry but watch for storms in the area as flash floods can happen. You’ll hike up about 1.7 miles or so and then it gets a bit more steep. At the end of the trail, you can go left which is up the side of the canyon to the arch. Or right which goes up onto a cool mountain area where you can hang out and hike around. Highly suggest going left and climbing to the top. You can actually get on top of the arch. Just be careful.
Just nice to find some trails were less people are on them. It’s a beautiful hike from canyon to top of the mountain with amazing views. Bring some snacks and have a little picnic up there. It’s pure heaven.
